Congratulations to the ONSW 2025 President’s Award Winner - Saffron Sweeney
The 2025 President’s Award is presented to a dedicated individual who has invested countless hours in supporting junior athletes within our sport. Saffron's commitment and leadership have made a significant impact on both the school and the broader junior community.
For several years, she has served as the school’s team manager, overseeing all aspects of team coordination for the Australian Schools Championships. Her organizational skills and attention to detail have ensured that the team is consistently prepared and represented at these prestigious events. Saffron has also taken charge of coordinating the junior teams’ catering efforts during our State League events. Her dedication to ensuring there is a good team available has made this a successful fundraiser for the Juniors. In 2025, Saffron also organized and coordinated the National Junior Camp held at Heathcote Scout Camp, ensuring that a comprehensive and effective coaching program was delivered.
